Rhonda V. Magee (M.A. Sociology, J.D.) is a Professor of Law at the University of San Francisco and an internationally-recognized thought and practice leader focused on integrating mindfulness into higher education, law and social change work. Elisha Goldstein, PhD is founder of The Mindful Living Collective – the central online mindful space to find the teachings, practices and tribe to up-level your mind, your life and business. He is also the co-founder of The Center for Mindful Living in Los Angeles and creator of the 6-month online coaching program, A Course in Mindful Living. His books include Uncovering Happiness and The Now EffectA Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workbook and MBSR Everyday.  In an increasingly fragmented society, he is working to bring people together so they may motivate and inspire one another in far-reaching ways.  


Christine Carter, Ph.D., is an author, speaker, and coach. Her books include The New Adolescence: Raising Happy and Successful Teens in an Age of Anxiety and Distraction (2020), The Sweet Spot: How to Accomplish More by Doing Less (2017) and Raising Happiness: 10 Simple Steps for More Joyful Kids and Happier Parents (2011). AMY COLEMAN, MD: As a family medicine physician with secondary training in Japanese acupuncture, Dr. Coleman started as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force (USAF). Through wartime medicine, she learned what it meant to be fully integrated as a unit of a team with her patients. Dr. Coleman also established new, creative models of patient care design for the Air Force still employed today. In her work as the youngest and first female Commander of the Special Operations Clinic in Ramstein Germany, she guided global medical missions and was the appointed physician for officers of the highest command positions. 


Diana Winston is the Director of Mindfulness Education at UCLA Semel Institute’s Mindful Awareness Research Center (MARC) and the co-author, with Susan Smalley PhD, of Fully Present, the Science, Art and Practice of Mindfulness. Called by the LA Times “one of the nation’s best-known teachers of mindfulness,” she has taught mindfulness since 1999 in a variety of settings including hospitals, universities, corporations, non profits, and schools in the US and Asia. A sought-after speaker, she developed the evidence-based Mindful Awareness Practices (MAPS) curriculum and the Training in Mindfulness Facilitation, which trains mindfulness teachers worldwide. She is a founding board member of the International Mindfulness Teachers Association.


Raj Raghunathan is a professor of Marketing at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin, where he relies on themes from psychology, behavioral science, decision theory, and marketing to explain consumption behavior. He also studies the impact that people’s judgments and decisions have on their own happiness and fulfillment. Based on his research, he teaches a very successful online course on Coursera on Happiness (named A Life of Happiness And Fulfillment). His book (titled, If you’re so smart, why aren’t you happy?) was released in the US, UK, and India in 2016.


Lynn Rossy, Ph.D. is a health psychologist specializing in yoga and mindfulness-based interventions. She developed a ten-week, empirically validated Eat for Life class that teaches people to eat mindfully and intuitively, love their bodies, and find deeper meaning in their lives.  Her book, The Mindfulness-Based Eating Solution, is based on the concepts in her program. Lynn is a long-time practitioner of mindfulness meditation and Kripalu yoga. She is the President of the Center for Mindful Eating.

Sam Himelstein, Ph.D. is a Licensed Psychologist (PSY25229) in the the state of California. Most of his work has involved working with high-risk and marginalized youth in the juvenile justice system, foster care system, and those suffering from addiction issues. He’s previously worked at the Chemical Dependency program at Kaiser Permanente with teens and their families, in a number of juvenile halls conducting psychotherapy, psychological evaluations, and  researching the efficacy of mindfulness-based interventions with incarcerated and underserved adolescent populations. He is the  author of multiple scholarly journal articles and three books.

Susanne Babbel, PhD, MFT # 42446, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing with a trauma specialty in her private practice in San Francisco, CA. Dr. Tim Bono is a faculty member in the Department of Psychological & Brain Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis where his teaching and research focus on positive psychology and college student development.
