Her clients include Google, Salesforce, the NBA, IBM, Walmart, and the White House Leadership Development Program.

Her TEDx talks have been viewed more than seven million times. As a global thought leader, Dr. Eurich has been named one of the top 30 emerging management thinkers (Thinkers50), the #1 self-awareness coach (Marshall Goldsmith/Thinkers50), and the #1 organizational culture and #5 communication expert (GlobalGurus). Sponsor: This episode is brought to you by Descript. I love this software and use it every time in the podcast recording. This tool has been a game changer in my podcast editing. This tool can’t be used for any audio/video editing with a lot of cool features such as “removing the long gaps“, “removing ums, uhs, and other filler words“, and much more. It costs very less to use and super affordable. I highly recommend it.

Descript is a collaborative audio/video editor that works like a doc. It includes transcription, a screen recorder, publishing, full multitrack editing, and some mind-bendingly useful AI tools. Remote interviews are a fact of life for every podcaster, and in today’s era of social distancing, more so than ever. Since you rarely get the chance at an interview do-over, nailing down your remote recording workflow is essential. We’ll show you how to prepare for and record a remote interview, so you get it right the first time — with some additional tips along the way to make sure all your bases are covered.

Sam Chase — Happiness is Subjective, Practical Mindfulness Talk, Secondary Trauma, Acknowledgement vs Gratitude, and More (#105)

There are a thousand ways to kneel and kiss the ground; there are a thousand ways to go home again.

– Rumi

Sam Chase designs and delivers programs in mindfulness, yoga and resilience for organizations nationwide. After studying Economics and English at Vanderbilt, he finished at the top of his class and went on to compete for the international Rhodes and Marshall scholarships. He won and then ultimately declined the award to pursue the work he continues today–exploring the science of the human mind and the tools that help people lead flourishing lives. He brings that study back to the real world through his work with organizations including the United Nations, the National Guard, Columbia Medical School, Brooklyn Hospital Center, The Department of Education, UBS, Bloomberg, American Express and numerous others.

Sam has facilitated the education of more than 1500 yoga and mindfulness teachers over the last decade, as a director, faculty and guest presenter in numerous teacher training programs. He is the author of Yoga & the Pursuit of Happiness, a book that bridges the ivory tower research and esoteric philosophy surrounding meditation in a down-to-earth style that helps everyday people build an accessible, transformative practice. He is certified to teach by the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health, the largest yoga center in the nation, where he also holds a certificate in Positive Psychology. He received his Master’s Degree at Harvard University’s A.R.T. Institute.

Simone Figueroa — Recovering Perfectionist, Bullet Proof Coffee, Canyon Ranch Experience, Shifting Mental Health Landscape, and More (#102)

“Good is Good Enough”

-Simone

Simone Figueroa graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and concentration in Spirituality and Health. At the beginning of her academic journey, Simone struggled with her mental health and emotional well-being. It wasn’t until her Junior year when she fatefully stumbled upon a credit-bearing course in Mindfulness that she went from surviving in college to thriving. The effects of this course were so profound that it ultimately changed the trajectory of her career.

Upon graduating, Simone went to work for Canyon Ranch, a premier Health & Wellness Resort in Tucson, AZ where she held various positions ranging from Operations Manager of Health, Healing & Spiritual Wellness to Director of Guest Experience. She then went on to start Conscious Living & Lifestyle, a coaching practice to support individuals in achieving physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health. An avid learner, Simone returned to Columbia University and received her Masters degree in Clinical Psychology in Education with an emphasis on Mind-Body Medicine, graduating at the top of her class.

During her studies at Columbia University, she took a year long practicum in Positive Psychology and became fascinated with and quickly saw a need for Positive Education, the incorporation of ‘heart-based life skills’ into the academic environment. This, coupled with her own struggles as an undergraduate student, drives her passion and mission to effectuate positive change within the mental health landscape on college campuses and to the realization of U-Thrive Educational Services. Simone lives in Tucson, Arizona with her husband, Isaac and her dog, Diesel, and has a love for traveling, being active, hiking, and spending quality time with family and friends.
